INSTRUCTOR: Reanna
LEVEL: Confident Beginner, ages 16+. You should be confident operating a sewing machine, using small seam allowances, sewing straight lines, and have some recent sewing under your belt.
WORKSHOP DETAILS:
In this three-day workshop we’ll make the Flora Jacket by Brightside Fabric Co. We will QUILT our own fabric and then cut and sew that fabric into an amazing jacket.
The Flora Jacket is a boxy quilted outerwear staple It has 3 pocket styles, 2 different lengths and two hem styles to choose from.
WHAT'S INCLUDED
All fabric, notions, and equipment are provided.
You will receive an A0 (large paper copy) and a digital copy of the pattern at the end of the workshop so you can keep on creating.
TOPICS COVERED
Quilting 101, we will use a walking foot.
Collar construction
Making continuous bias tape
Bias bound edges.
Pattern adjustments for lengthening/shortening (if needed)
Serger machine basics
CANCELLATION POLICY:
It is extremely hard to fill workshops last minute. If you need to cancel your spot and are able to give over 48 hours' notice, you will receive a digital store credit that can be used for a future workshop. Store credits never expire. If you cancel with less than 48 hours notice or no-show you will not receive a refund or store credit. I completely understand life happens, but please do not ask me to make an exception to this rule. All workshops must have at least three participants to run. If a workshop does not have at least three participants, you will be notified 24 hours in advance that the workshop is cancelled and will have your choice of being issued a refund or store credit.
MISSED SESSIONS:
Partial refunds are not available if you can't finish a multi-day workshop.
SIZING:
Sizing is based on your BUST measurement. This pattern goes up to a 58”in bust with slight ease in all sizes. If you are between sizes, I would recommend sizing up! Please see finished garment measurements to determine ease.
WORKSHOP FABRIC CHOICES:
All SOLID colored fabric are 100% cotton with sandwash finish. Weight: 160 GSM, 4.71 OZ/SQ.YD. Width: 57/58”
All Fableism prints are 100% cotton. Weight: 225 GSM/ 6.61 OZ/SQ.YD. Width: 44/45”, the large colored squares measure 7/8″ x 1”
